My path to graphic design was not a direct route. I originally went to school for studio art. My dad said, "Sara, you should do graphic design." In my all-knowing youthful experience, I declined.
Many moons, a family, a cross-country move, and one pandemic later, I found myself finishing my degree in none other than graphic design. I later called my dad and said, "remember when you said I should have been a graphic designer...?" He was right.
Design is where I found my passion and my purpose.
